The JCARA 2021 Christmas party was held December 7, 2021. Approximately 20 members, family or friends attended. Good food and outstanding fellowship was had by all.
A brief meeting was convened, where after prayer and pledge to the flag was completed, two members were recognized for exceptional service to the club in 2021. John Ryan, KJ4NJT, was commended for his work to ensure the (first post pandemic) club Hamfest was successful. Joe Tucker, W5DDX, was the “make it happen” person for the Deer Island expedition event. Joe also filled the gap for the Hamfest food service when the planned food vendor pulled out of the event. Award pictures will be post when they are available.
Ken Overstreet, KF5KDH, was the party door prize winner. The handheld radio will be awarded at the January business meeting or when “the ship off the CA coast is unloaded.” 😎
